Eudora artists’ work depicting green spaces and parks around town will be showcased at an event next week.
Parks and Green Spaces alongside Discover Eudora magazine will host a reception and celebration of the See Eudora project from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at Barbwire Barbecue.
Community members will meet some of the artists who created the See Eudora posters and view canvas prints of the art. The prints celebrate parks and green spaces in Eudora, and include digital design and oil paints.
The artworks are in the style of the original 1930s national parks posters. The artists are Mindy Andrasevits, Ben Tegtmeier, Mackenzie Schaeffer, Kassidee Quaranta and Stephanie Gage.
“This art series is inspired by the 1930s national parks posters, so it is fitting to enjoy the art in a large, bold format,” said Mary Gage, a former Eudora resident and founder of Parks and Green Spaces.
Similar projects are also being done around the state.
