The Eudora Times celebrates its third birthday next week. We’ve come a long way. But there is so much more we can do.
One Day One KU is Thursday, an opportunity to recognize the importance of the work being done throughout the university.
The Eudora Times began and continues to be an opportunity for the Journalism School faculty and students to do service journalism. We take pride in providing local news to Eudora, a community otherwise ignored by other news outlets despite how many interesting stories there are to tell.
A Eudora family provided us with $5,000 for a match challenge, and we need to raise the other $5,000 to support our student reporters.
This is especially critical as we move into sports tournament time. We simply cannot afford to send reporters to events if we don’t have money to pay them, especially in cases where they have to take time off from their other paying part-time jobs in order to attend.
We have invested a substantial amount of time the past three years into growing and improving The Eudora Times. We need the community to continue to invest back in us.
Please help us meet our $5,000 goal Thursday by providing what you can. Every bit helps. This site will go live for donations Thursday morning.
