
Riggin
Janet Marie Riggin, age 46, of Eudora, KS, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at her home.
She was born on February 8, 1976, in Emporia, KS, the daughter of Jode M. Riggin and Rosene L. (Stewart) Riggin. Janet grew up in the Harveyville area and graduated from Mission Valley High School with the class of 1994. She then graduated from Flint Hills Technical College, Emporia, KS, with a degree in Graphic Arts.
Janet was a manager for Universal engraving of Lenexa, KS, working there since 2004. She loved her job and how she was able to utilize her artistic abilities within her profession.
She was a member of the Barn Hunting Association and loved taking her dog Blue on many barn hunts and winning awards often. She also had served as a volunteer firefighter and first responder for Baldwin City.
Janet was an incredible artist and it came out in everything she created. She made cakes and cupcakes for many of the neighborhood children and of course her relatives for many years. She loved to make baby clothes and sold several of her piece over the years. She loved to woodwork and sew. Janet had a adventurous side as well and her kayaking trips helped to quench her adventurous side of life. She took many kayaking trips and loved her friends that she would go with.
Janet is survived by her son, Devin Lewis, Lawrence, KS; mother, Rosene Riggin, Burlingame, KS; sister, Bonnie Buss, Pawhuska, OK; brother, Warren Riggin, Burlingame, KS; and two nephews, Wesley Behner and Joshua Harvey
She is preceded in death by her father, Jode Riggin.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at Federated Church of Burlingame. Interment will follow in the Wilmington Cemetery, Harveyville, KS. The family will greet friends for a visitation Thursday May 26, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, Burlingame, KS.
