The City Commission will meet Monday to continue conversations about the budget and have two separate executive sessions.
The commission will receive a quarterly budget update, as well as a quarterly staffing update. The commission will also consider setting a public hearing date for the adoption of the 2026 budget. If approved, the public hearing would be at 7 p.m. Sept. 8.
The proposed budget includes an increase of one mill to the general fund.
In other business, the commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. prior to the regular meeting for an executive session. The agenda says the commission will do a monthly check-in with Interim City Manager Zack Daniel in attendance.
The other executive session will follow the meeting’s regular agenda items and is related to attorney client privilege for pending litigation.
