Renovations to Twin Oaks Golf Complex will be underway shortly with a goal to be done within the next several months.
Owner Brandon Yates said work on footings and foundations for the renovations for the complex at 1326 E. 1900 Road will begin in the next couple of weeks. This comes after the county approved the new site plan at a meeting earlier this month.
The site plans include the demolition of the existing 2,716-square-foot clubhouse and outbuildings with construction of a new 13,619-square-foot clubhouse. A new indoor tee box and restaurant are also included in the plans.
The complex is currently closed, with use only by employees as they continue to test things, Yates said. He hopes the project will be done in five months, although golf team students could possibly use the course in the fall depending on the conditions of construction, he said.
Yates said he is passionate about the project and the new renovations will elevate it to its full potential. The facility will have something for everyone whether playing for fun or improving at the game, he said.
“Really making it a special place for the community, and I honestly think it’s going to be one of a kind,” he said.
