Pvt. Thomas Jesus Romero, 19, graduated earlier this month from boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
Romero completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training as one of over 60 recruits in Training Platoon 1035. During this time, he achieved the following: Expert rifleman, EGA (Eagle, Globe and Anchor) and Honor Platoon. Following 10 days home on leave, he will report to Camp Pendleton in California for one month at military combat training before arriving at the 29 Palms base.
