A local college student received university honors, and a Eudora resident was recognized for placement onto the state funeral association board.
The University of Arkansas is recognizing a Eudora student for making the spring chancellor’s list.
Joseph Faircloth earned a 4.0 GPA for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours. All students on the chancellor’s list also automatically earn recognition on the university dean’s list, which recognizes students with a minimum 3.75 GPA.
Lisa Manley was announced as an executive officer of the Kansas Funeral Directors Association. Manley will serve as the secretary/treasurer. The association is the only organization in the state dedicated to promoting and supporting funeral professionals in Kansas.
Manley has served as funeral director and an embalmer at Warren-McElwain Mortuary for 24 years. She earned her mortuary science degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. She’s been on the state board of directors since 2022.
