Universities announced graduates, students received academic honors and a local church has shared information about an upcoming event.
Eudora United Methodist Church will host Kenya Night from 5 to 7 p.m. July 12. There will be musicians, a speaker and Kenyan food open to the community.
Music will be provided by Ushindi UMC Choir and Galen Schmidtberger. Food will be provided by an Overland Park restaurant.
The event is free, but donations are accepted.
Washburn University
Washburn University announced its 2025 graduating class. The list included the following students from Eudora:

Washburn also announced its spring dean’s list. Students must be in at least 12 credit hours and have between a 3.4 and 3.99 GPA. The following students are from Eudora:

Dalton Shrum was placed on Washburn’s president’s list for earning a 4.0 GPA.
Georgia Southern University
Georgia Southern University recognized its spring 2025 dean’s list, as well. Ashlyn Lovett of Eudora was placed on the list.
University of Arkansas
Joseph Faircloth of Eudora was placed on the University of Arkansas’s dean’s list for spring 2025. Students must achieve a 3.75 GPA or higher while completing 12 hours to be placed on the list.
