Giving Garden workday: The Eudora Giving Garden will host a volunteer workday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the old garden location, 706 Main St. Volunteers are welcome to come and go as they are available and should bring their own gardening gloves and weed eaters if possible. Questions can be directed to Mary Kirkendoll.
Football playoffs: The Eudora High School varsity football team will take on Basehor-Linwood Friday in its second playoff game of the season. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Basehor-Linwood High School, 2108 155th St.
Friends of the Kaw workday: Friends of the Kaw rescheduled a workday in Eudora to 9 a.m. this Saturday. Volunteers will help with the Wakarusa Riverbank Restoration Progress by removing non-native grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. Those participating should bring their own water bottle, work gloves and pruner or shovel, and should wear closed-toed shoes.
