Eudora was in the Halloween spirit as Main Street was lined with spooky decor during Trunk or Treat.
Kids and adults of all ages dressed up in their costumes Saturday to partake in the event. Local businesses and residents opened their trunks and set up tables for Eudora to enjoy.
Angie Brown, an adviser at Eudora High School, said she wanted to participate and pass out candy to all the kids in the community.
“It’s just fun seeing all the kids in the community, in a safe environment, be able to come and have fun, especially the really little ones,” Brown said.
Local business owner Lizzie Pelzel said while the event is all about fun and family, it is also great for the Eudora businesses.
“I think it’s great for Main Street. I think it’s great for all the businesses. I think it’s a fun opportunity after everything everyone’s been through just to come and see each other, you know,” she said.
The day is, of course, centered around all of the kids. Timberly French said that is what the event is all about.
“My favorite part of the day is seeing the kids when they see the different vehicles and the decorations and the different candy,” French said.
While the trick or treating was the main event, hosting a large turnout, the event also included a live band, a food truck and Halloween-themed drinks.
