The city of Eudora is looking for a new city clerk with comprehensive knowledge of the functions and organization of municipal government, skill in preparing reports and utility billings, and skill preparing city ordinances and resolutions.
The city of Eudora plans to hire a new city clerk.
The position includes documentation and facilitation of governing bodies, including the City Commission and Planning Commission, records management and supervision of utility bill personnel. Preceding her retirement after over 20 years in the role, current City Clerk Pam Schmeck will help review applications for the position.
The city clerk will report to Assistant City Manager Kevyn Gero. City Manager Barack Matite said the Human Resources-related tasks that normally fell to the city clerk will be transitioned to the assistant city manager role going forward. After Gero starts her position on April 12, she will join in reviewing city clerk applications.
“We want to allow her time to be able to come in and be involved in that application review process for the city clerk position because she’ll be overseeing that position in that office,” Matite said.
The starting salary for the position is $45,000. Applicants should have comprehensive knowledge of the functions and organization of municipal government, skill in preparing reports and utility billings, and skill preparing city ordinances and resolutions.
