Sometimes your email inbox takes you by surprise.
Earlier this week, I received an email from a documentary team wanting to come to Eudora and tell the story of The Eudora Times.
The project is an assignment for a class taught by Northwestern University professor Craig Duff. Students are tasked with creating short documentaries about unique news organizations in the Midwest.
So, it’s lights, camera and action, Eudora, as a team of students will come to film in the community during the first week in May with the final documentary completed sometime in June.
We hope you will welcome the crew to town, if you see them, and we are always glad to have attention on the importance of local news.
In another update, The Eudora Times will yet again close for the summer due to lack of funding. May 15 will be our last day of reporting before we go on summer hiatus. We will reopen sometime in August.
We have to have community donations to keep providing local news. Please consider donating. Every little bit helps support our student reporters. You can make a donation of any amount at this website: tinyurl.com/y4u7stxj
