About a dozen volunteers worked at the Eudora Giving Garden on Monday to help move dirt to flower beds behind and to the side of the greenhouse.
Volunteer organizer Mary Kirkendoll said the crew was able to make around six flower beds in the back and were hoping to make the same number along the side.
Christy Kennedy, one of the volunteers, joked about the hard labor of moving the dirt sans machinery.
“Anyone with a Bobcat can come out and help,” Kennedy said.
Kirkendoll said as of now, the garden is donation funded, but will hopefully receive grant allocation in the future.
Those wanting to donate to the garden can do so at eudoragivinggarden.square.site
Kirkendoll said there will be another volunteer opportunity at the garden from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday.
