The city of Eudora received an award for its 10th Street project between Church and Peach streets.
Director of Public Works Branden Boyd was honored with the award at the annual meeting of the Kansas City/County Manager Association in Dodge City last week. The American Council of Engineering Companies recognizes significant work in Kansas at the event.
Public Works received a public improvement award in the 5,000 to 19,999 population category. The project, which was the 10th Street sidewalk expansion, began in late 2022.
The city and its engineering partners finished the project in early 2023. The project was about $1.8 million to complete, some of which was funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program.
