Various colleges released their spring honor rolls that include local students.
More than 100 students at Emporia State University received special recognition by the Teachers College at the end of the 2022-23 academic year.
Students from Eudora who received the awards include:
Meadow Meier, recognized for achieving a 3.8 GPA
Kristen Watterson, recognized as the Instructional Design and Technology Outstanding Graduate Student
Northwest Missouri State University announced its spring 2023 honor roll. To be included, a student must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and receive at least a 3.5 GPA. Students receiving the president’s honor roll must receive a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Carrie Young of Eudora was inducted into Washburn University’s Top Hat chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta. This is the national honor society that recognizes students with academic success in their first year.
Ashlyn Lovett of Eudora was added to Georgia Southern University’s spring 2023 president’s list. Lovett received at least a 4.0 GPA and took a minimum of 12 hours during the semester. Alpha Lambda Delta is open to full-time students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher during the first semester of their freshman year.

Mia Manley of Eudora has completed an associate of science degree from Cloud Community College.
Free COVID-19 tests
Free COVID-19 tests remain available for all Kansas residents through June 15. Residents can request the tests from AccessCovidTests.org. Every household can receive five tests delivered through Amazon.
The Good Neighbor section will publish Thursday when there is content. We will publish event notices once for free before requiring the purchase of an ad.
We also will accept new job announcements, birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $10 each. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.
