Mayor Tim Reazin launches the Christmas season in the city with carols Saturday night.
The snow didn’t stop families from coming out and getting in the holiday spirit — or members of the choir from singing a few carols.
Here are a few tunes from the mayor’s Christmas tree lighting Saturday night.
Earlier in the day, families picked out the perfect Christmas tree at Evening Star Pines Saturday. The farm opened Friday and will be open weekends 9 a.m to 5 p.m until trees sell out. Owner Sheri Crawford said they usually stay open two weekends. Crews are available to help cut down trees, shake off needles and net them before placing them on customers’ cars. There are white pines, scotch and spruce trees in the fields. Fraser firs from Michigan are also available.
