The Eudora Schools Foundation raised $49,028.46 on Tuesday for its annual Give Day.
The foundation aimed for $50,000. With just $972 left to go, it plans to have a grand total announcement after spring break. Throughout Give Day, the foundation had various donor rewards and price-match partnerships with sponsors.
The money will go toward its continued goal of creating and sustaining new educational programs, providing student resources and awarding teacher accomplishments.
Last fall, the foundation contributed $32,000 for 24 awarded classroom grants. Through donations and external grants, it plans to continue this work within the Eudora schools and throughout the district.
Donations are still being collected on the foundation’s website.
