The city will discuss a new update on the Nottingham Center development at its meeting Thursday night.
The agenda statement says Foundations Inc. has engaged with several businesses interested in available spaces in the center. Representatives from Foundations will present information related to development activity. There won’t be any formal action taken Thursday.
In other business, the city will discuss an update to the master fee schedule. There are proposed changes to the site and development plan reviews, utility rates, rezoning, platting and constriction document review costs. These changes would be effective the first of the new year.
Also related to utilities, the city will see a new proposed severe weather policy that is more flexible.
Under the current policy, the city postpones disconnecting utilities for nonpayment of bills until the outside temperature is above 32 degrees for one continuous 48-hour period.
Under the proposed policy, extreme weather conditions could also qualify for a grace period before utilities are disconnected.
The city will also consider the purchase of a new gator utility vehicle and new mowers as part of the 2025 capital improvement plan.
The commission will also discuss entering into another agreement with Vieste for economic development services. The last agreement for the STAR bond project ended in October.
