A university announced a local graduate and LMH Health will host an informational conversation and Q&A.   

Washburn University announced its summer 2024 graduating class. Kelsey Scarlett of Eudora graduated with a master of education with an emphasis in high incidence. 

Members of the community are invited to a community conversation with LMH Health President and CEO Russ Johnson. 

The event will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Lawrence Public Library’s auditorium. 

There will be a brief presentation and a question and answer session with hospital leadership. Here are some of the topics: 

• Maintaining independence as a community hospital in the midst of challenging industry circumstances

• Providing information about LMH Health’s strategic clinical partnership with the University of Kansas Health System

• Funding sources for the health system, including Medicare and the role of the LMH Health Foundation

• Where LMH Health invests, including workforce and patient-centered technology

• Clinical care, quality and service
