A farmers market in Eudora is officially set to begin in September.
The city announced Friday that the first market will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 10. The market will continue on Tuesdays for the rest of September. The market will be at the Village Green at 16th and Locust with vendors, lawn games, face painting and balloon animals.
The city is now gauging interest from vendors for the produce-only market. Those interested in selling their items at the market are being asked to fill out this interest form. Vendor fees will be $40 for all three markets or $15 individually.
Although there are no public restrooms at the green space, patrons will be able to use those in the Community Center, as well as a porta-potty.
The plan is to start the market this season in hopes of growing it next year. Parking will be in the Community Center parking lot.
More information on assistance programs and vendor applications will come soon.
