Thankful for the Eudora Times is a campaign to support our KU journalism students receiving real-world experience covering Eudora.
Approximately 40 KU students have benefited from this unique and nationally recognized university-community partnership that has won over 70 journalism awards.
These dedicated student reporters need your support so they can continue running the paper — and can financially afford to do this work — while also going to school. Beyond our news, features and sports reporting in Eudora, this staff is trying to expand our coverage into De Soto, another news-desert community. It’s imperative to retain Sara Maloney, our full-time reporter, to make this possible.
Beyond the important news we bring to local communities, this program is one of the best ways to give our Jayhawk Journalism students hands-on experience before graduation. Our Eudora Times reporters have an excellent success rate in obtaining full-time positions thanks to the experience they gain in Eudora.
I encourage you to donate to our $25,000 campaign at www.LaunchKU.org/EudoraTimes2024.
