City commissioners and City Manager Kevyn Gero spent 35 minutes in executive session Monday night to discuss Gero’s annual evaluation.
This is the second time in the past month the commission has held a special meeting to discuss the evaluation.
The agenda statement says the city has hired a third-party firm to assist in the facilitation of the review.
During executive session, the public is not allowed to be in the chambers. The Eudora Times sat outside City Hall for the entire 35 minutes.
There was no action taken during the meeting. After the meeting, the Times asked commissioners if they had any comment about the evaluation discussions.
“The executive session is part of the process for an annual evaluation for non-elected personnel. And as with all executive sessions with no actions taken, I have no comment,” Commissioner Alex Curnes said.
Gero, Vice Mayor Tim Bruce and Commissioners Roberta Lehmann and Jolene Cullen also declined to comment. Mayor Tim Reazin attended the meeting over Zoom and left before the Times could ask for comment.
Commissioners plan to have another closed meeting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4 to continue discussing the evaluation.
