Ten bakers will compete Wednesday night to determine who is this year’s cookie champion.
The Eudora Times holiday cookie contest goes from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Zeb’s Coffeehouse.
The public is invited to attend to taste test and vote for best cookie. To vote, cash is placed in the voting box on each baker’s table with all proceeds going to help keep the newspaper open.
Cookbooks with all of the evening’s recipes will also be available to buy for $5, cash only.
Here are this year’s bakers:
Caitlin Beets
Noah Steffen
Katherine O’Toole
Kristina Ormsby
Wendy Regehr
Kent Mulkey
Grant High
Roberta Lehmann
Diane Chrislip
Dana Campbell

Supporting small businesses during the holidays is critical so be sure to stop at other local businesses to grab supper or gifts before coming out to the cookie contest. Zeb’s will be open all day Wednesday, and Main St. Scoops and Sweets will also be open Wednesday evening.

Thanks to those who donated to The Eudora Times pledge drive so far. We’ve raised over $9,200. The newspaper is primarily funded through donations, meaning we need our readers to support us to stay in business.
All of the money goes to support our reporters, who are mostly KU journalism students, so we’re able to write stories and take photos in the community.
Please donate to support local news in the final days of our pledge drive at this link: https://www.launchku.org/project/44323
