A new exhibit open house, a Christmas parade and a Lawrence choir concert are all upcoming. Several Eudora students also received prestigious accolades.
New exhibit
The Eudora Community Museum’s new core exhibit will host an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 7. Visitors will get to see the new exhibit and enjoy refreshments and free souvenirs. Short speeches to commemorate the exhibit’s donors will be given during the open house.
The new exhibit is a comprehensive detailing of the history of the Eudora area from the era of Native Americans in the region to now. The core exhibit is the second largest and most important project ever pursued by the historical society.
Christmas parade
The Lawrence Christmas parade will return at 11 a.m. Dec. 7. There will be horse-drawn carriages as the event strives to be a historically accurate replica of late 1800s and early 1900s horse-drawn vehicles and period attire. The tradition has been around for 31 years.
The parade will travel down Massachusetts Street.
