The Eudora Giving Garden is partnering with Botanical Belonging to create a new prairie garden with Kansas native plants.
Anyone in the community interested in participating can learn skills to also grow these native plants at home.
The sessions are led by Patti Ragsdale of Botanical Belonging at Happy Apple’s Farm. Ragsdale has worked with native plants for over 30 years. The nonprofit in Tonganoxie’s goal is to provide hands-on educational programming for native gardening.
Registration is $75 for the whole workshop or $35 for a single day.
The workshops will be at the Giving Garden on the following days:
2 to 4 p.m. March 23 – Establishing a Garden Space and Creating a Native Garden Plan
2 to 4 p.m. May 19 – Planting Workday
2 to 4 p.m. June 16 – Planting Workday
2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 8 – First Year Garden Maintenance and Wrap-up
