Although there were three snow days this week, no additional days at the end of the school year are needed.
Because of days already built into the calendar, Superintendent Su Moeckel said there is wiggle room when it comes to these snow days. There is a teacher work day in the spring that can be converted to a normal school day if needed later, he said. As far as any additional days after the regular school year, that is not necessary as of now, he said.
Wednesday was canceled due to concerns about refreezing on country roads and in district parking lots, Moeckel said. The grounds team has worked hard to get sidewalks and buildings open, but the parking lots are harder to clear due to their size.
Moeckel said as of Wednesday morning, the district is planning to have school Thursday.
