Many Lawrence and Eudora delays/cancellations have begun Tuesday afternoon. Here’s what we know so far.
Eudora schools are canceled for Wednesday.
The basketball games Thursday against Paola are now scheduled for Friday at the normal times.
The library will be closed Wednesday.
City Hall offices will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Calls received between 8 and 10 a.m. will be re-directed to the city’s after-hours line.
Eudora police advise residents to move vehicles from the street, if possible, to help plow drivers.
The Eudora Food Pantry is closed Wednesday.
State offices in Shawnee County are closed Wednesday.
Just Food will be closed Wednesday.
LMH Health clinics have delayed opening until 10 a.m. Wednesday. Lawrence OB-GYN specialists, radiology, treatment and procedure, pain/endoscopy surgery and the Lawrence Surgery Center, and all other outpatient services will maintain normal hours of operation.
The Parkinson’s class is also canceled for Wednesday.
LMH Health is working on notifying all affected patients and offering telehealth options where available. Patients can cancel or reschedule by texting your clinic’s main phone number.
The Chamber’s screening of “It’s Basic” has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26. The event will still be at the high school auditorium. The event is a collaboration between Douglas County, United Way of Kaw Valley, Eudora Schools Foundation, Livewell Douglas County and Engage Douglas County.
The University of Kansas has also canceled class at all campuses for Wednesday. Non-weather essential employees are permitted to work from home. Only weather essential employees need to report to campus.
