Pets that were microchipped in Eudora aren’t affected by the recent closure of a national microchip company.
After Texas-based Save This Life abruptly closed, some pet owners worried that they may lose the ability to reunite with their lost pets. However, the company is not used by the Eudora Animal Hospital.
Save This Life disconnected its phone number and gave no notice to pet owners before shutting down, according to national media reports.
If your pet does have a Save This Life microchip, vets can scan for the chip number and re-register their pet with one of the American Animal Hospital Association’s member organizations, USA Today said. Many are offering discounts for those affected by the closure of Save This Life.
