City officials announced the launch of the Pilla Park Redevelopment Project Thursday evening.
The project will include new sidewalks, upgraded playground equipment and ADA play options. It will cost an estimated $950,000 and is being funded by a state grant and sales tax. The grant will cover $650,000 of the cost.
“The park is the northernmost front door to our community and I’m proud to be a part of the city’s continued investment in this asset and the history it represents,” Mayor Tim Reazin said during the announcement.
