Ervin and Lucille Yarnell will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 1. The party will be at the Eudora Community Center and hosted by their five children.
Ervin and Lucille have been Eudora residents since 1960 and have been involved with a number of community organizations.
Ervin served as a baseball coach, president of Jayhawk Babe Ruth League, and Eudora Booster Club. Lucille was a troop leader and board member of Kaw Valley Girl Scouts, and spent 27 years as a Eudora school bus driver and chaperone for many student groups traveling locally and to other countries.
Past and current residents continue to touch their lives and they are glad to have chosen Eudora as their home. Ervin & Lucille would love a visit from you at their reception but please no gifts, just the gift of your memories, their daughter Brenda said.
Dean’s List
Robert Roome has been added to the Southern New Hampshire University’s summer 2023 dean’s list.
Full-time students must receive a minimum grade-point for 3.5 to 3.699 to be placed on the dean’s list.
The Good Neighbor section will publish when there is content. We will publish event notices once for free before requiring the purchase of an ad.
We also will accept new job announcements, birth announcements, engagement/marriage/anniversary announcements, high school and college graduation announcements, and pet news. Pet news could include announcement of a new pet or an obituary for a pet. The cost of these various announcements will be $10 each. The fee is to support personnel who must prepare this information for publication.
