Commissioners will hear updates on sanitary sewer infrastructure and a culvert design project during Monday’s City Commission meeting.
JEO Consulting Group in Lawrence previously offered the city a complementary project, which served as a mentoring program for their summer interns.
The project for the team was the 12th and Pine Street box culvert replacement. The interns had to decide what the best course of action would be based on the design criteria given by city staff. The interns will present their findings at the meeting.
Another agenda item includes a report from CFS Engineers on the city’s sanitary sewer infrastructure, wastewater treatment plant and the city’s growth analysis. The report will give the city a full scope of current and future wastewater status.
